Eva Delaney

Eva Delaney is an Irish artist from London, where she is currently based.

Working predominantly in sculpture, Delaney responds to scientific phenomena by harnessing their potential to expose the poetics of our material existence.

Her spatial compositions are made of the same substances used in ongoing scientific research. This link produces the works conceptual core: a ‘material double’ around which a distinct emotional atmosphere orbits.

Delaney presents the challenge of encountering tender connection to materials too often fixed within a framework which prioritises extraction, expansion and progress above all else.
